Challenge
Many prospective students were unable to visit Teachers College in person due to the time and expense involved in traveling. As a result, they were seeking alternative ways to explore the campus and its surroundings. The challenge was to provide an engaging and informative experience that would allow students to get a sense of the school’s unique environment and culture, even from a distance. Additionally, this initiative aimed to offer an accessible option for students who couldn’t attend in-person events or campus tours, helping them make an informed decision about their future by learning more about the campus and the community.
Solution
A custom-designed virtual tour microsite was created, featuring current students as guides to points of interest within Teachers College and its surrounding area. An interactive, clickable map was integrated, allowing users to explore each location through videos and descriptions that highlighted the significance of the spaces. The design also included a contact submission form to encourage further engagement. This approach served as an effective alternative to in-person visits, contributing to increased enrollment by making the experience more accessible to prospective students.
