Challenge

With 1,300+ students registered to take Advanced Placement exams, Success Academy needed to secure additional space at New York's Javits Center for testing. Designing effective environmental branding and wayfinding solutions within this expansive venue was essential to ensure that students could navigate the space efficiently and locate their assigned testing areas without confusion.​
 

Solution

The design strategy involved creating clear, strategically placed signage that guided students seamlessly from the entrance to their designated testing rooms. Utilizing a brightcolor palette, minimalist design, and consistent branding elements, the signage ensured ease of navigation for all participants. Key features included large directional banners, detailed seating charts, and prominent jumbotron graphics displaying real-time information. This comprehensive wayfinding system minimized confusion, supported a smooth flow of foot traffic, and ensured a positive testing experience for all participants.
